Hostway Corporation, a hosting solutions firm and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner announced the launch of its new range of cloud services and virtual servers that are based on Microsoft Windows Server with Hyper-V.

According to the company’s statement, the new enterprise-class packages will feature the latest in management tools and hypervisor technology in order to allow clients to enjoy available hosting services that are deployed on redundant server clusters. This will also provide for private enterprise clouds, redundant, replicated enterprise storage, and geographic redundancy.

Hostway is also set to provide private cloud services that are streamlined according to what enterprise applications need. Businesses will be able to benefit from the company’s global center and its backbone network. Hostway will also have qualified Windows administrators who will oversee to the optimized configurations.

Todd Benjamin, Hostway’s enterprise hosting director said, today’s companies are looking for more cost-effective ways to take advantage of the benefits of the cloud without significantly affecting IT organizations and user communities. With the deployment of Hostway’s virtualization platform, Benjamin explains, we will be able to apply the strength of our data center footprint and international network in order to create high performance solutions.

The new range of products by Hostway is also going to offer automated failover and more efficient virtualization and cloud technologies. The company opted for Hyper-V over other versions such as VMware mainly because of its cheaper cost. The cost-effectiveness was combined with more features such as Live Migration that are available at no extra charge. The said features also do not require the use of higher end software. Hostway’s representative explains out that Microsoft’s virtualization technology also comes with certain core features that cannot be found in VMware. These include management for virtual machines under both software providers, end-to-end OS monitoring and in-guest monitoring.
